Job Description:
I-STOP legislation requires the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) to establish an online, real-time controlled substance registry to track the prescription and dispensing of controlled substances. The law requires dispensers to report data in real time as well as requiring prescribers to view the information before prescribing. This position will support the infrastructure to provide support for the integration with electronic medical records, prescription fraud detection, and interoperability with prescription monitoring programs in other states.
The Technical Architect activities and responsibilities that will be required in this project include but are not limited to:
Design system architecture and develop system models specifying interactions between multiple systems;
Develop and/or modify technical and/or design specifications, technical writing and documentation;
Develop web pages and user interfaces;
Software development and maintenance tasks including coding, testing, and implementation.
Skill Matrix:
1. 84 Months of experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) in designing and implementing Information Technology Solutions using the Java programming language. #of months 20
2. 60 Months of experience in Oracle PL/SQL and developing procedures and packages. #of months 20
3. 48 Months of experience in using the Spring MVC framework and three of the five Spring components:
Spring Batch
Spring Security
Spring Web Services
Spring Integration

4. 24 Months of experience in using the Struts framework #of months 10
