Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Duration: 9 months minimum contract- can extend up to a year
LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY-must be available for on-site interview

Main Requirements:
7+ years Java development experience
Java 8 or 9 coding
Spring Boot
AWS
REST API development
Relational databases (RDBMS)

Things you''ll do:
Design and develop highly scalable APIs and components in the java ecosystem, explore integrating with UIs as necessary
Design, code and test RESTful APIs & reusable components
Explore the payments domain, to motivate and build the next generation application with a deep focus on APIs, scalability & performance
Collaborate with product management and UX teams to drive exceptional user experience
Experience needed:
Extensive experience in API development & frameworks in the Java ecosystem, Messaging and Spring
2+ years of Java 8 or 9 experience
3+ years of experience in Spring and REST API development
2+ years of experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
3+ years of experience with Relational databases
Experience in banking or finance domain preferred
Experience working in fast pace agile environment
Experience with continuous integration & continuous delivery
Experience with GIT, Maven and IntelliJ IDEA preferred
Qual Notes:
AWS focus will be mainly deploying apps to AWS, not much DevOps cross-over, would be nice for them to have worked in CI/CD environments, but they won’t don’t need heavy experience with containerization tools, the focus will be backend application development. As far as AWS services, if they’ve worked with Lambda, and S3 this is great, they use these services a lot. They need to have worked with relational databases, ideally experience with java 8 as well. Experience with Spring stack, specifically Spring Boot is very important.
