Role Overview:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle with a focus on the design, development and support of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The ability to work independently in retiring our legacy on-premise item master system by creating a more modern, cloud based Item master system.
2. Create extracts to inventory management system, Parts Catalog, demand planning, Data Mart and reporting systems from the new item master system.
3. The ability to create batch jobs to extract data from various systems databases, format the data into the required file formats and feed into the Anaplan system.
4. The ability to investigate existing shell scripts and make modifications so that existing file feeds can be modified to the required format for implementation of new Demand planning tool.
4. The ability to debug and research existing Java applications, web services, shell scripts and various batch jobs to troubleshoot issues, identify and make fixes.
5. The ability to research existing Java applications, web services, shell scripts and various batch jobs to provide input into modifications required to meet specific business requirements.
Key Skills:
1. Strong JAVA background - JAVA 8 preferred
2. Experience with SpringBatch framework
3. Experince developing RESTful Web Services
4. Experience developing SOAP Web Services
5. Strong background with Structured Query Languages
6. Experienced in Unix Shell Scripting
7. AWS experience
