Position: Java Data Engineer (Python and Hadoop)
Role background:
Build an application that can help associates to apply machine learning algorithms to explore huge datasets in an interactive and business friendly way:
Backend API development for data extraction from Oracle database.
Integration with machine learning pipelines in Weka/Python/R.
Frontend data visualization.
An ideal candidate for this role should have a range of experience from building web applications using Javascript technologies to building backend systems in Java.
Our application includes a machine learning component, so someone with basic machine learning algorithms (e.g. decision tree) will be a huge plus.
Required:
Bachelor''s or Master''s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc required.
5+ years of enterprise development and a desire to work on a fast paced development team with the experience of handling multiple tracks concurrently
Strong experience in developing SQL to supply data to reports or JAVA APIs.
Strong Experience with Python and Hadoop.
Familiarity with Machine Learning algorithms is a nice to have
