This position supports the middleware implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the Consumer Insurance Platform (CIP) which is based on the EIS Suite framework. The individual will have responsibilities for the design and development of solutions for complex technical challenges experienced during execution of the CIP implementation.
Responsibilities:
Perform integration and framework level implementation for the Consumer Insurance Platform which entails performing java coding and spring configuration tasks, as well as performing the binding between the user interface layer and the external interfaces/vendor reports through the ESB
Write and maintain batch jobs that will send/receive application data
Work with the project PM to identify development tasks and determine implementation timelines
Responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements
Participates in agile sprint planning meetings and daily scrum/stand-up meetings
To be successful in the position, the candidate should have the following skills and experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
Experience:
Senior level developer – minimum 6+ years of core Java (v6 or greater)
Expertise implementing applications utilizing the EIS Suite integration framework (preferable)
Prior experience using component-based user interfaces for web applications
Ability to provide guidance to and mentor junior developers on complex programming tasks
Familiarity with and prior experience utilizing the Agile Scrum and Waterfall development methodologies
