Description:
Provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and application development for Flight Attendant Mobile Redesign. Focus on setting technical direction on groups of applications and similar technologies as well as taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints. Help empower the transformation towards innovative technical thought leadership and cutting-edge application development approaches. In this position, you will work with agile teams of developers to create unique, feature rich, efficient, and scalable mobile applications. The right person will be passionate about technology, scalability and the customer/end-user experience to help design, build, and review the team''s implementations. You should be comfortable conducting design and code reviews within the development team and leading and vetting designs across partner UX and technical teams and with business leaders. You should be able to get into the details of our solutions, guide implementation, and take end-to-end ownership of systems in coordination with your peers in the product management and operations. This position requires collaboration with UX team, product owners, program managers, business partners and stakeholders. You should be comfortable with ambiguity with a desire to create, iterate and improve.
Responsibilities:
Gathering technical requirements for the implementation of solutions in the mobile application development space.
Engaging in the evaluation of new mobile methods, quality development frameworks and approaches.
Create architecture deliverables for the mobile domain that supports the strategic direction for the enterprise
Establish collaborative and productive relationships with business partners and stakeholders, product and delivery teams, vendors and other supporting teams.
Ensure teams are building using modern practices and tools. Recognize and act of your responsibility for driving change for the entire development community.
Ability to communicate, both internally and externally, in an effective, timely professional and courteous manner
Ability to work in an environment of competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus
Capable of upwardly influencing the strategic direction of business solutions
Mentoring, inspiring and leading engineers on proper development practices, patterns, and techniques.
Flexibility and creativity in solution design including leveraging emerging technologies
Experience and Qualifications:
Hands-on Experience in design, Architecting and Developing Native Mobile Applications across iOS
Objective-C, Swift, APIs
Experience working with a UX/UI team
Should have a broad level of skills in architecting solutions including mobile, web, integration middleware, database & data warehouse, front-end technology & framework and security
10+ years of software industry experience
3 – 5 years of mobile design and development experience in iOS platform
BA/BS degree required, advanced degree is preferred in CS or related field
Experience presenting to executives and partner business and development teams
Experience completing an application and seeing it through the full life cycle of development
Customer–focused mindset, taking pride in creating an informative data-driven journey
