Job Description
Candidate must have the ability to think through how to answer key business questions using data structures and data architecture and who shares our standards of excellence and commitment to innovation through information. Our business requires individuals who understand pharmaceutical data—product, submission, study, adverse event, etc.—and can engage with business SMEs to develop solutions.

Duties include the following:
Participate in creating Data models and Architecture strategy and deliverables such as architecture, interface, detailed, database design documents.
Create a conceptual data architecture including the data representations at each point in the data flows to cover Regulatory Affairs, R&D QA and PPS/Safety (RQS data model); develop Logical Data Model (LDM) and Physical Data Model (PDM)
o Create logical model(s)
o Participate in finalizing Source to Target Data Map
o perform data quality analysis
Able to utilize data profiling results to identify data issues and challenges. Able to define, test and communicate solution
Able to work jointly with Data Stewards to develop Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models
Collaborate with Data Stewards as well as developers on data modeling practices
Create / maintain data model change control / version control procedures, emergency change procedures, and monitor new software releases impacts
Develop / promote ongoing maintenance of standards/ best practice templates on naming / usage of tables / views / attributes / triggers / stored procedures, de-normalization cost/benefit, DB-referential integrity vs. programmatic RI enforcement
Support OLTP/OLAP ETL from core databases; available for consultation on OLAP designs / slow changing dimension (Type 1, 2, 3 conform dimension design, facts, measure, factless fact.
Map and document data subject areas related to analytical needs
Document data quality issues through observations.
Assist in defining processes and culture for agile implementation approaches

Required Skills & Experience
Candidates should have 6+ years of experience as Business Intelligence lifecycle
implementation
Hands-on expertise with various data architecture and modeling tools, such as ERwin, Visio, Informatica, Toad Analysts etc.
Has worked with Informatica Suite, (e.g.: PowerCentert 9.1.0)
Hands on multiple relational databases including Oracle (12C), MS SQL Server and programming using PL/SQL.
Experience in dimensional and relational modeling in Star Schema and Snowflake Schemas.
Excellent analytical, co-ordination, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills, ability to adapt, learn new technologies and get proficient in them very quickly.
Capable of working in groups as well as independently with excellent communication skills
Partnering with various business areas, project managers, program managers and work with the offshore teams
Strong experience in Unix/Lunix shell scripting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Data Warehouse and Data Mart design
Experience working in Biopharmaceutical industry, particularly for Regulatory Affairs and R&D IT functions
Good in troubleshooting with quick turnaround in fixing the issues.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge with Business Intelligence tools like Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework manager, Active reports
Knowledge on creating packages (DMR, Relational) and publishing them to Cognos Connection.
Understanding of Report’s Authoring various reports like List reports, Crosstab reports, Maps, Dash Boards and Active reports with experience in gathering requirements, assessing, research and data analysis.
Knowledge on developing different kinds of complex reports using calculations, conditional formatting, Dynamic Grouping, Conditional Blocks, Dynamic level filters, drill through capabilities and customized prompts.
Knowledge in creating complex dashboards for executive reporting using scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML, XML
Knowledge in SAS Studio – SAS Base/SAS Share.
