Job Description –

1. Analyzes reporting needs, available data, and various methods of data retrieval to develop systems which are responsive to the needs of the Department.

2. Develops and maintain production reporting capabilities. Monitor the timely and accurate production and distribution of all standard and special user-generated reports.

3. Provides support to the Utilization Management Department for personal computer usage by attending and teaching classes, developing new applications and disseminating information throughout the Department. This support will be manifested in the creative use of existing software and the ongoing efforts to acquire the most cost beneficial hardware and software required to generate the needed data.

4. Provides statistical and analytical support to the Department staff. Utilizes SAS, SQL, SOURCE and other statistical based software packages to extract and analyze the data required by the Department for both continuing and special needs.

5. Working knowledge of provider EHR systems to support Horizon partners/practices in creation and submission of EHR data extracts.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

1. Computer Science, Statistics or Information Technology Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience.

2. Health IT & HEDIS Certifications preferred

3. SAS Certifications preferred or relevant experience

Experience:

1. 0-2 years Health IT Industry experience preferred

2. Experience of QSIXL preferred

3. 2-5 years practical experience in providing technical support and maintenance on clinical, ancillary and business applications within a Health IT environment preferred

4. Strong workflow and systems analysis skills required

5. Experience with clinical workflows

6. 3+ years’ experience in SAS needed.

7. Preferred communication skills to interact with the different provider groups on need basis.

Working Arrangements:

1. May require after hours on call support
