Experience in designing, delivering, supporting, and managing complex IT infrastructure for mission critical, large scale online systems.

Site Reliability Engineer/ Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA and Austin TX
Duration: 6+ Months
* Strong overall Unix/Linux experience i.e. Hands-on experience with Linux system, application servers like JBoss, Tomcat, Jetty, Web logic administration and package deployment tools.
* Good scripting skills on common languages (Python, Perl, Shell, Javascript) to automate commonly performed jobs
* Experience with performance tuning, package installation, patch management, network and server management issues.
* Ability to understand and learn new infrastructure technologies, hardware and software, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, Cerificates and virtualization technologies
* High level understanding of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka etc and Java/J2EE
* Experience in Splunk is a plus
* Able to provide highly reliable and scalable systems
* Able to work with Enterprise application teams on understanding their infrastructure needs, participate in capacity planning
* Work with Core infrastructure team who build servers and VMs
* Systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
* Good understanding of application, middleware and database interactions and connectivity.
* Strong knowledge of large-scale Web/Internet application architecture and technologies
* Experience in designing, delivering, supporting, and managing complex IT infrastructure for mission critical, large scale online systems.
* Experience building scalable infrastructure for high traffic websites
* Experience in monitoring the performance of large-scale web applications.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Expert in developing appropriate standards, procedures, and guidelines governing the management and use of the Apple''s established standard technologies.
