Job Title: Data Management Lead

Location: Houston, Texas USA 75034

Length: 6 month contract

Job Description: The Data Management Lead will be responsible for completing the implementation of the data management requirements, processes and system requirements. This position is part of an equipment engineering, procurement and delivery organization for a major oil and gas operator.

The role will be completing the equipment class library definition and approvals. The required processes and procedures will need to be developed and approved. A system has already been identified for the collection and management of the technical equipment data, but the configuration has not yet been started and functional requirements are needing to be developed. The data management philosophy is one similar to the management of an equipment catalog, where equipment information is developed and re-used many times.

This role will be liaising with engineering, quality, project services/project controls, and project management teams to gain agreement on the requirements and implementation. The role will report to the Project Information Manager. The successful candidate will be self-leading and results-driven with attention to detail.

Essential requirements:

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are critical to success in this role. Previous experience in managing equipment catalogs or equipment information is strongly preferred. An understanding of equipment engineering/design and manufacturing is ideal. 5+ years working in a data management role supporting engineering/design activities. 5+ years in Oil & Gas industry or manufacturing industry. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

1. Experienced in managing technical information in a software system (ex: SAP) about manufactured equipment.

2. Experienced technical data management lead in the oil and gas industry.
