Job Title: Data Architect/Modeler
Location: Herndon VA

Job Description:

Data Architect/Modeler, with solid Loss Mitigation and Asset Management experience.

This position documents business requirements, data flows and data mappings, and performs data lineage analysis as required by various enterprise projects. This position confers as needed with other technical staff to plan database conversion projects, or to establish large scale mining, reporting, or data display exercises. Identifies and documents relevant design, process and specification details. Leads or provides technical assistance to data projects or operations to maintain enterprise-wide standards and attain more efficient use of data resources.
Key Job Functions
Collaborate with business partners, technical partners and representatives from other organizations to understand and evaluate their data requirements, and conform to the enterprise data standards and Target State objectives.
Perform any necessary data mapping and data lineage activities, and document information flows.
Support business architects in creation of Target State flows and ensure that they fulfill data requirements.
Work with data modelers to ensure that data models align with requirements.
Support vision to align data management activities with industry best practices.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

Required Skills
Strong data management skills—data mapping, data analysis, and reporting.
Strong relational database concepts and conceptual data model experience.
Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and MS Access.
Ability to understand current state and propose desired Target State.
Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with senior management.
Ability to work with cross functional teams and build partnerships.
Knowledge of SharePoint.
Preferred Skills/Training
Financial mortgage data experience.
Multifamily Asset Management experience.
Process-re-engineering experience.
