Job Description :
                                                                             The Data Analyst is a key member of an enterprise practice driving a vision of data-driven decision-making – and is a key member of the team responsible for operationalizing that vision. In essence, managing data as an asset means improving links between silo-ed databases and data stores, working with business teams to create fluid, data-integrated solutions; making information/data easier to find on-line, making it easier for analysts and policy makers to quickly access and transform data into knowledge and insights. It means lowering the cost of consuming and using data by driving consistency and data quality at point of capture, and developing standards in defining and transforming data and it means leading the way in the creation of advanced data surfacing and analytics tools, practices, and success stories.  
The Analyst’s role requires the suitable candidate to be a hands-on data specialist, capable of interacting with business teams to understand requirements, identify sources of data from different sources and make the data available to the data science team and rest of the user community.  
Responsibilities: 
                     Work with the business representatives to understand the various business problem that are currently being tackled
                     Explore and discuss with various stakeholders and data custodians to understand what kind of data is required and where how can it be sourced within the data warehouse
                     Work with the data science team to understand the data transformation requirements for each business problem and generate scripts to develop new tables and views
                     Work with the business and technology teams to design and implement production workflows for data extraction and management
                     Work on various software and tools to extract data from various sources and make it available in a single repository for different stakeholders
                     Drive the collection and availability of external data from third-party data sources to enable primary research on alternative data to enrich existing data 
                     Import and integrate data form external sources with internal data following data governance principles
                     Create customized data tables and views for the data science and visualization teams enabling Analytical Models and KPI dashboards development
                     Generate and maintain documentation, including source-to-target mappings and business needs driven data transformation rules 
Qualifications
                     Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent years’ experience, PLUS
                     Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of ETL and Database environments
                     Strong  problem solving and software development skills with emphasis on data interpretation 
                     Creative thinker with exceptional applied statistics skills and data analysis skills
                     Minimum 3+ years of hands on experience of Teradata and MS SQL Server database ecosystems 
                     Able to write  efficient production level optimized SQL scripts with a strong understanding of data governance and big data platforms
                     Experienced in designing and maintaining scalable and robust ETL data flows using a range of technologies that enable data cleaning, wrangling and management 
                     Working knowledge of Informatica and its functionalities for data integration and management
                     Experience on data visualization tools such as Power BI will be a plus
                     Knowledge and experience in cross section of data assets and data sources, including of data warehouses, business intelligence platforms and production business systems
