DB2 DBA @ Irving, TX for 12+ Months contract
Qualifications
Basic
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
5-8 years of DBA experience in DB2 on z/OS Database Administration and Support
SKILLS
Thorough knowledge and experience of working on DB2 on Mainframes. Different versions such as DB2 9 through 12.
Batch Job monitoring of DB2 related jobs and fixing issues.
Good knowledge of DB2 Utilities such as Reorg, Load, Unload etc.
Good knowledge and experience of Query Tuning, Explain etc.
Experience in resizing tables and table design. Usage of Erwin. VSAM File structure.
Demonstrate good understanding of Mainframe Application Architectures.
Knowledge in DB2 Tuning is an added advantage.
Knowledge of DB2 Connect, Data Studio and Federated Database a must.
Must have experience in Upgrading DB2 and providing post upgrade support.
