Job Title: DB2 DBA
Location: Durham, NC
Duration: 6-12 Months
The Mainframe DBA team is responsible for managing DB2 for Z/OS databases that are record keeping systems for FPRS, IDB and Commission Engine. Team also manages replication of Mainframe DB2 for Z/OS data to various oracle platforms and between DB2 Z/OS systems using IBM Q Replication, IBM CDC and Informatica Power Exchange.
Job Responsibilities
· Database design
· Managing security for databases
· Database upgrades for DB2 and various tool sets
· Application schema changes
· Managing DB2 application performance
· 24x7 On-call support
· Architect and deliver new DB2 Z/OS solutions for development projects
· Code reviews
· Setup and manage replication between DB2 for Z/OS and from DB2 Z/OS to Oracle using QREP and IBM CDC
· Monitor replication performance
· Backup and recovery solutions
· Native stored procedures support
DBA Skills
· DBA having minimum of 5 years DBA experience in DB2 Mainframe
· Expertise on QREP and CDC is a must
· Expertise in DB2 Version migration
· expertise with database administration and troubleshooting
· expertise in database design
· Experience in troubleshooting performance issues
