Responsibilities:
? The Data Modeler will participate in design, development and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements.
? Create and manage logical, physical and conceptual models using data modeling tools. Support standards, guidelines, and methodology through the use of data definitions and diagrams.
? Design a future state environment to account for changing needs and incorporate multiple subject areas in the warehouse.
? Develop and communicate standards for data structures.
? Profile existing data structures to thoroughly understand all data assets that exist in the warehouse and the sources of expansion areas.
? Analyze source system data for the purpose of data mapping requirements.
? Strong ability to perform data modeling for large scale, complex business applications
? Maintains strong data governance discipline
? Assist with the identification, definition and documentation of the technical and business metadata
? Ensure all data architecture and model components are properly integrated and implemented.
? Establish and enforce data architecture standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
? At least 7 years progressive experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Solutions.
? Strong logical and physical data modeling, metadata and data profiling experience including prior work with standard tools (ERWIN, Rational Rose, ER/Studio) and methodologies.
? Experience in AWS warehouse stack including Redsfhit and Athena.
? Hands-on work experience in requirements gathering and analysis processes and methodologies
? Knowledge of how technical platforms and environments are constructed in AWS stack.
? Ability to reverse engineer existing database structures in traditional relational data warehousing.
? Proficiency in SQL
? Ability to motivate, lead and inspire a diverse group to a common goal/solution with multiple stakeholders
? Ability to convert business strategy into action oriented objectives and measurable results
? Ability to concisely and thoughtfully develop and communicate BI/DW Program goals, objectives, and status.
? Strong analytical skills with the ability to create mappings between source and target systems.
? Ability to analyze source/transactional data to quickly understand relationships and identify issues related to models being created.
