Job Description:
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will work within T-Mobile''s Cyber Security Operations team as a cross-functional and technical engineer that develops, integrates, and documents system and network configurations for Active Deception Grid (ADG) deployment into T-Mobile''s infrastructure. You will coordinate with many corporate security and enterprise teams to implementation ADG into T-Mobile''s lab and production enterprise networks.
SECURITY SKILLS
Experience to understand the security threat surface area, identify attack vectors, identify vulnerabilities, and to implement the appropriate deceptive components.
Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
INTERNAL TOOL SKILLS
Experience supporting network, operating systems, database, application or data layers across multiple platforms and technologies.
Demonstrate ability to install and configure Linux servers, Microsoft Windows systems & servers.
Demonstrate ability to install and support virtual machines.
Ability to learn a new technology and drive it from ideation through deployment and integration to fully automated and operationalized.
Demonstrated experience in evaluating, recommending, and implementing commercial hardware and software security products to augment and enhance the Company enterprise security program.
Experience in implementing or operating two or more security related technologies: Application Security Scanners, Endpoint Protection, Remote Connection, Network Protection, Data Loss Prevention, File Integrity Monitoring, Security Auditing & Logging, and Vulnerability Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Good multi-platform knowledge. Experience in UNIX, Windows, Linux, and IP intranet/Internet environments.
3+ years’ experience working with virtualization including VMWare, OpenStack, and/or AWS.
3+ years’ experience in IP networking fundamentals.
Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, SNMP, Active Directory, LDAP, Ethernet, Wireless LAN, and other WAN/LAN Protocols.
Demonstrate ability to work with penetration testing tools.
3+ years’ experience working with modern automation tools – Python, Ansible, Perl, Puppet, and Unix tools.
CISSP, SANS, or EC-Council Security Certifications or demonstrate security experience.
Develop detailed design specifications and plans including: implementation, testing and back out procedures for service technology deployments, upgrades and modifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years information security experience preferred.
2+ years of Engineering or Operations experience managing and supporting applications in Windows environment. Windows administration experience (IIS, Windows Server) preferred.
Strong background with relational and SQL databases, server hardware, and virtualized environments preferred.
Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
Foundational understanding of several enterprise environment technologies, security domains, or telecommunications infrastructure and architecture.
5+ years of IT infrastructure proficiency and experience that could include one or more years of experience in: Encryption, Tokenization, Forensics/eDiscovery, Penetration Testing, Firewalls (static, WAF), Proxies, Gateways, Routers, VPN, database, big data, telecom, mobile network, etc.
