Description
We are looking for a software developer for the Upstream IT Technical Software Platform team. They will work closely with the customers, and the contractor in this role will participate in all aspects of application development:
Requirements gathering
Development
Testing
Deployment
Ongoing support
They will work on an Agile team, and will participate in planning and prioritization of the team’s work activities to meet goals and timelines.
They will work with the Product Owner and other developers on requirements for new development and upgrade requests to the team''s software portfolio. They will be expected to identify issues, communicate in a timely manner to supervisor and partner organizations, and work to progress general interest solutions.

Familiarity with developing applications for Microsoft Azure. Specifically, experience with using Azure''s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings.
Optional Technical Skills:
Nice to have languages: C++, Python, Matlab
Experience with Team Foundation Server / Visual Studio Team Services
Experience with package management tools (e.g. Nuget)
Experience with automated UI tests - experience with Visual Studio Coded UI Tests a plus
Basic understanding of automated builds and deployments (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
