FOBS Technology is seeking a Cloud Engineer to aid in the development and migration of a new asset management compliance product to the cloud. We are looking for top engineering talent as we design, build and migrate the platform to the cloud. The role involves working in and across agile teams, in a highly collaborative and engaging environment and being adaptable to shifting priorities.

The Expertise We’re Looking For
Expert (4+ years’ experience) in building and deploying cloud solutions on AWS
Experience with AWS offerings such as EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch and others
Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Shell, Python, Go, etc.
Strong Linux systems knowledge
Experience with CI/CD practices, delivery pipelines and deployment automation tools and solutions (Git, Jenkins, Chef, etc
As a software engineer, delivering software using agile development practices
Experience in n-tier / service oriented applications (SOA)
4+ years of back-end java development experience
Experience in Spring, Restful Web services, JMS, Maven
Experience with networking and firewall concepts and troubleshooting
Knowledge of cloud based security principles
Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
Knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Concourse is a plus
AWS Certification is a plus
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Very hands-on – 80% coding & 20% overseeing others work
The Purpose of Your Role

Your role as a Cloud Engineer is to oversee as well as to contribute to the development and migration of asset management applications to the cloud. You will be building pipelines that provision, deploy and monitor application stacks that comprise enterprise applications for the Asset Management business.

You have an understanding of both synchronous programming models such as REST over HTTP and asynchronous programming models and messaging frameworks such as Kafka and EMS.
You understand best engineering practices and have an aptitude to coach and mentor junior engineers.
You are able to clearly document design options and decisions, and present these in an organized manner to technical as well as non-technical audiences
You are motivated, are a good communicator, can take initiative to solve problems, and can make decisions based on the value of the solutions we build
