Cloud Architect [Azure & Linux]
Framingham MA
Long Term

Primary Responsibilities:
Interact with stakeholders for collecting high-level technical requirements for cloud migration, converting the requirements into system design, estimate the time and effort required for technical execution and coordinating with IT team to obtain the necessary sign-offs.
Participate in business and technical requirement discussions and translate to technical specifications
Identify security vulnerabilities within the solution design and identify methods for securing the solution
Use agile development methodologies for project execution and actively participate in sprint-related and status meetings
Provide technical support to onsite & offshore teams in all phases
Create the necessary project artifacts that relate to solution design, development, deployment and maintenance operations
Research, analyze and recommend approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems
Design and build through automation code production, staging, QA and development Cloud Infrastructures running in 24x7 environments and demonstrate cloud architectural experience.
Delivery of Cloud Strategies aligned with IT roadmap on Cloud Migrations.
Actively work with IT team to identify upcoming cloud delivery engagements and undertake those related to Azure & Cloud migration
Determines how existing applications, legacy systems, databases, web interfaces, and/or hardware logic which may be currently operating on multiple platforms, work with internal teams to meet the new and emerging business requirements in the cloud

Required Qualifications
6 to 8 years’ experience as an and Engineer in a technology related field with focus on digital solutions
3 to 5 years of experience with modern Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenStack) ideally on the Azure platform
Experience in Cloud scale APM and Monitoring Tools such as ELK, Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, Appdynamics
Azure IaaS and PaaS architecture background
Automation skills with one or more of the following tools: Terraform (preferred), Packer (preferred), Ansible, Chef and Puppet coding, Nephos, Azure concepts
Networking concepts
Strong linux background ideally with experience on open source middleware tooling (Tomcat, Node.js, Apache, NGINX)
Ability to measure & provide cloud solutions that addresses infra related NFRs such as scalability, availability, service continuity (DR), performance and security requirements
Should have experience in working with MongoDB
Should have experience in working with different app servers/middleware for troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Should have experience with all major Azure services.
Understanding of Application architecture and Enterprise Architecture is added advantage
Understanding of Cloud networking concepts and technologies (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, etc
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail, and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
The candidate should have excellent analytical capabilities, strong writing skills, services-based technical experience, and the desire to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment.

Additional Experience
Experience with several of the following technologies:
Software development experience with Java, JavaScript or Python
Experience with modern development methodologies such as 12 Factor applications, Microservices AWS KRADL offerings Node.js, Ruby, CSS3, HTML5 JavaScript frameworks (Angular.js, ReactJS, Backbone, Ember, jQuery, jQuery Mobile
