Cloud Administrator/Operator, Wright Patterson AFB, OH

Description of specific Duties in a typical workday for this position:

Application Administration, including but not limited to:
Support troubleshooting of WSMIS Cloud software issues
Provide log files to developers for troubleshooting support
Responsible to promote application release through Artifactory from Dev/Int to Test to Production
Deploy the application into the Cloud Computing Environment (CCE) environments
Database Administration above what RDS controls, including but not limited to:
Manage backups through utilization of the datapump to move between environments
Assist WSMIS Operators with unique data scripts
Move .dmp files into other environments as required
Manage APEX query tool
Ansible code/scripts (playbooks) and Jenkins, including but not limited to:
Modify, create, execute, and maintain Ansible code/scripts
Update code/script when a new version is deployed by the CCE
Event Monitoring (logs and errors), including but not limited to:
Monitor and receive notification from environments and take necessary action
Troubleshoot and correct issues as identified
Adjust alerting/monitoring thresholds and parameters based on actual system behaviors
Reporting/Briefings, including but not limited to:
Report on all CCE/CIE related activities
Weekly status briefing to PMO, or as requested
Daily reports on system and system availability
Risk Management Framework (RMF) Support, including but not limited to:
STIG application and database
Update Cybersecurity policies in application and database per RMF requirements
Support RMF inquiries as requested
VPC Administration, including but not limited to:
Modify elasticities ranges as approved by the PMO
Manage Backups
Perform configuration/change management for the automation configurations
Platform as a Service (PaaS) (CCE patching) support, including but not limited to:
Coordinate patching activities with CCE and PMO
Implementation/installing new Apex version
Notify testers of new patches ready to be tested in Test VPC
Interface file support, including but not limited to:
Review s3 bucket contents and support troubleshooting of ESB interface file issues
Backup the PMO OPRs by completing task associated with SAM, REALM, PRS, and EXPRESS operations

Position Requirements:

US Citizenship
Active Secret clearance
2+ years of experience administering AWS Cloud environments or equivalent cloud environments
Security+ Certificate
Applicable Cloud certification(s)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
Experience with AF Logistics applications

Nice to Have:

Experience with CMMI
Experience working with Air Force Systems sustainment policies and processes
WSMIS application experience
Experience with other clouds, i.e. Azure, MilCloud, SmartCloud, DataCloud, etc.
