Long term Contract role
Overview: This position requires an individual who is well versed in Citrix, VDI and Microsoft SCCM technologies, as well as general Windows and Active Directory administration and support. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic setting, with a unique ability to effectively juggle multiple high priority challenges. This role is responsible for the support and maintenance for the companies VDI estate and engineering and maintenance of related Windows components. This position will also be responsible for interfacing with various levels of the business and other IT Support Teams; he/she will be required to assist other team members with projects as necessary.
Responsibilities:
· General administration of client`s VDI environment
· Technically oversees and administers Citrix XenDesktop and VDI
· Integration of Citrix with other data centers and Cloud providers
· Citrix host provisioning, profile and session Management
· Citric host image development
· Technically oversees and administers Microsoft SCCM environment
· Responsible for hierarchy planning and site system roles.
· Deployment and management of SCCM Distribution Points.
· Building of Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 2016 Server images.
· SCCM report development and monitoring.
· Monitors incident(s) and problem queues daily
· Responsible for resolving highly complex challenges in a timely manner
· Responsible for documentation and knowledge articles
· Recommend and apply critical system preventive fixes to maintain reliability and availability
· Perform project level design, gap analysis, and performance analysis
· Capacity planning and management of IT infrastructure across all lines of business
· Translate requirements and prepares functional specifications for execution
· Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to apply principles of logic
· Require collaboration, in the execution of projects with other teams
· Prepare, accurately complete, and timely submission of technical documentation
· Assist in the remediation of application stability and performance
· Ability to effectively prioritize, and execute, tasks in a high-pressure environment
· Assist in other duties as needed and directed
· General L2 /L3 troubleshooting
· Develop and present proposals and technical solutions to management
Qualifications/Skills
· 5-7 years general experience the IT domain
· Demonstrable experience providing tier 3 or higher support for Citrix based solutions
· Strategic and Technical excellence in multiple disciplines in Infrastructure
· Ability to solve highly complex problems spanning multiple technologies and discipline
· Assist in the design and implementation of solutions revolving around VDI and Windows technologies that will meet current and future business needs enterprise wide.
· Capacity to learn and gain a high-level understanding of multiple technologies
· Out of hours and weekend working will be necessary
· Knowledge of third-party technologies like VMWare and applications that interact with this platform, monitoring, alerting, log collection and vulnerability and intrusion detection are highly desirable.
· Knowledge of Windows security best practices, including PCI and SOX
· Comprehensive understanding of file system interoperability among heterogeneous environments (DFS/R)
· Possess strong work ethic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and detail-oriented
· Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team a must

Experience Required/Preferred/Optional
· Required – Expertise Citrix XenDesktop in a Production environment (3-5 yrs)
· Required – Expertise with Microsoft SCCM (3-5 yrs)
· Required – Expertise with Windows Administration
· Required – Expertise with AD, LDAP, DHCP, DNS and Network Solutions
· Required – Expertise in PowerShell scripting (3-5 yrs)
· Required – VMWare ESX (2-3yrs)
· Preferred - Experience with Exchange and Office365
· Preferred – Experience with CI/CD processes
· Preferred – Experience with Git
· Preferred – Familiar with AWS Workspaces
· Preferred – Experience with DNS / DHCP
· Preferred – Functional knowledge of Networking and Firewalls
· Preferred – Windows Server system administration
· Preferred – Scripting with PowerShell
· Preferred – Hands-on experience MS SQL Server
· Preferred – Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk or SolarWinds
· Preferred – Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Skills
Certifications:
· RHEL or related certification
· AWS SysOps certification
· AWS Solution Architect Associate cewrtification is preferred
Education:
· This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
