Position Overview

The C/Unix Developer will be performing tasks related to development, support and analysis of different information systems used to fulfill our client’s needs. Helps in the implementation of software, prepares and executes unit tests, reviews code, analyzes results on preliminary deployments and serves the team in other related functions. It is an expectation of DXC that this professional will be dealing with enterprise-class application solutions for many clients and industries throughout the world.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Participates as a member of development team.

· Completes development of units with designs prepared by more senior developers.

· Participates in code reviews. Prepares and executes unit tests.

· Applies growing technical knowledge to maintain a technology area (e.g. Web-site Development

· May perform unit design.

· Applies DXC and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate complexity.

· Configures end-user or enterprise systems designed by more senior technologists.

· Performs work assigned by others.

· Provides time / resource estimates for assigned tasks.

Qualifications

In addition to C programming experience

· Experience in XML file handling

· Experience in embedded SQL in a C or other program

· Experience in a large scale transaction processing system

· Experience in large installations of an Oracle RDBMS

· Experience in UNIX scripting

Other Qualifications:

· Experience in Medicaid Management Information Systems a strong plus

· Experience on one or more full release project life cycles.

· Understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management
