Job Title: Business Intelligence Engineer, Lead
Location: Tampa, FL
3 Months Contract-to-Hire
Job Summary:
Oversees Business Intelligence Engineers, coordinates training for the Team, provides project tracking/metrics, acts as technical team liaison in coordination with IT and other departments as needed, and provides status reports on team activities to leader. This position is expected to be split about 70% Analysis and 30% Lead role. Interacts with various development teams, project managers, internal and external customers, senior management, and external vendors. Members of this role understand how data is turned into information and knowledge and how the knowledge supports and enables key business processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects, analyzes, and shares data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience, and business results
Works with the BI Analyst during implementation, gathering additional information when needed and keeping the business informed
Implements data structures using best practices in data modeling, processes, and technologies.
Performs data conversions, imports and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems
Implements tools and frameworks for automating report generation, identification of data-quality issues, and data governance
Leads the integration efforts for merging BI platforms with production enterprise systems and applications
Performs data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems
Explores the data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies, and trends
Performs programming analyzes for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms
Ensures documentation is created and maintained
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor''s Degree in Information Technology or related field (required)
Or equivalent work experience additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree (required)
REQUIREMENTS:
7+ years of experience in a data engineer or similar technology related role (required)
Internal candidate will require min 6 years of experience in data engineer or similar technology (required)
2+ years of experience in Healthcare (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications:
Certified Business Intelligence Professional - Practitioner Level (preferred)
