Position: Business Analyst/SQL & Tableau
Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Duration: 1 year+
Rate: $60/Phr on C2C
Must Exp. Required - Tableau and SQL experience.
Primary interface between the product and business teams and the Visual Analytics team. Responsible for understanding business need and translating needs into Visual Analytics requirements for the team.
Must have an inquisitive nature and want to understand data as it relates to the products and features available to our customers. Responsible for data discovery, data mining, and data exploration for the purpose of understanding and outlining required data needs for visual reporting and dashboards.
Responsible for quality checking visualizations and dashboards as they move through the development life cycle and within the production environment.
Qualifications
Minimal:
Bachelor’s degree, or 2 years equivalent work-related experience
6+ years’ experience writing detailed requirements specifications for IT solution delivery with a Business Intelligence component or focus
Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to write and optimize SQL queries
Strong understanding of software development life cycle and/or agile development environment with emphasis on BI practices
Basic understanding of source data, its strengths, weaknesses, semantics and formats; solid knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
Basic knowledge of BI tools (primarily Tableau)
