KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Automate deployments across our test and production data environments encompassing Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Lake Analytics (ADLA), HD Insights (Hadoop), Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure SQL, Azure Analysis Services, and Power BI.
o Write scripts to build and deploy environments using Infrastructure-as-Code.
o Develop tools to automate builds and continuous integration.
o Build and maintain advanced automated testing frameworks.
o Drive adoption of continuous delivery best practices.
o Design and build tooling and infrastructure to help engineering teams measure and increase their velocity.
o Identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages.
o Develop monitoring solutions and appropriate metrics to demonstrate performance and operational efficiency.
o Identify any trends in issues reported by customers and drive the improvement
o Assist other team members with configuring their solutions so that they integrate with continuous integration platform.
o Iteratively deliver solutions as part of a collaborative Agile team made up of members from several data and analytics disciplines.
o Provide production support and solve complex data platform challenges.
o Work closely with the team to ensure architectural standards are followed as it relates to DevOps best practices.
o Ensure that work submitted has been tested either by means of unit tests or developer integration tests.
o Provide leadership and technical guidance related to DevOps for Azure Data Technologies.
o Work with the team to architect, design, and develop quality business intelligence deliverables.
o Communicate the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to all stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information System, Data Science, or similar discipline.
o 3+ years of proven experience in software engineering, release engineering, and or/configuration management.
o Demonstrated ability with data technologies on a public cloud provider, preferably Microsoft Azure.
o Strong proficiency with scripting in PowerShell with experience delivering Infrastructure-as-Code.
o Extensive experience implementing and executing continuous integration and continuous delivery strategies.
o Solid understanding of software configuration management systems such as Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS
o Production experience deploying and operating relational database and data warehouse solutions preferably based on SQL Server technology.
o Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
o Experience in working as part of an Agile SCRUM team responsible for iteratively delivering business outcomes.
o Ability to concisely document data processes that can be readily understood and applied by both IT leadership and developers.
o Willingness to be part of the 24/7 on-call rotation to support the consumer data platform.
o Restaurant and/or consumer technology experience preferred.
o Microsoft Azure data technologies and ARM template experience strongly preferred.
