Cloud Architect technical skills:
Ability to blueprint, design and deploy scalable, HA and fault tolerant systems on Azure
Design Migration of existing on-prem applications to Azure
Write reference architecture, best practices and thought leadership whitepapers
Knowledge on Security focused solutions and workloads
Ability to research and analyze suitable cloud models and provide detailed solutions
A deep understanding of cloud technologies, products, providers, vendors, and trends
Excellent client interaction and leadership skills.
Can scope out a simple or semi-complex project based on business requirements and achievable benefits.
Can create a semi-complex project plan and Statement-of-Work.
Can lead a semi-complex project plan and Statement-of-Work.
Azure subscription design and management for a large enterprise(s), Azure AD integration, Azure security and
governance, someone who can do PowerShell scripting, design and build ARM templates, Azure security design,
ExpressRoute connectivity, migration experience for hundreds or thousands of VMs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with others to define and implement optimal, complete solutions based on stakeholder needs. Applies
and generates best practices in multiple technical domains using open source and third-party technology products and
services.
Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the
cloud
Ensure solutions are developed and packaged in an easily consumable and repeatable way for customers and
internal teams including sales, solutions architecture, and support
Capture and share best practice knowledge with the IIS solutions architect and sales community
Author or otherwise contribute to IIS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, solutions marketing,
reference architectures, and reference implementations
