Role: Application Support consultant (ArcGIS server administration)
Location: Irving, TX/ Tampa, FL
Duration: 12+ Months
Responsible for 24*7 production support of business critical applications like 3-GIS utilizing ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise solutions, running primarily on Windows platforms.
The role requires expertise with Windows server and familiarity with Linux operating systems, as well as familiarity with Oracle/Postgres/SQL Server Databases
Need to be able to configure Windows servers, deploy middleware packages, understand and troubleshoot networking, Active Directory, domain level and local and security policies, and setup servers for application deployment. Deploy code/packages in production and non-production environment, prepare task plans, and follow change management process. Work with application Development, Sys Admins, DBAs and peer IT groups.
As part of the 24*7 job requirement, may need to work after normal business hours and some weekends to support releases and outages. Need to be able to join crisis/outage bridges when paged. Provide resolution to issues and mitigate problems proactively.
Experience with cloud based automation and orchestration principals to help manage large server farms and application deployment and maintenance.
ArcGIS server administration, ArcGIS API for client and server programming, Map publishing, performance tuning.
Web technologies – IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic
Database technologies - Oracle, Oracle Spatial, Postgres, SQL Server
Windows 2008/2012 server administration
Windows Middleware installation and support – IIS, .NET
Citrix installation, support and administration
Powershell, Python, MS Batch
DevOps and CI/CD process implementation using tools like JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible
Experience with New Relic, Splunk or Nagios is must
