Job Summary & Responsibilities
Potential candidate will be onsite Enterprise Architect coordinating with offshore and customers providing the technical plans and guiding the team through this migration.
JD for onsite application architect:
Responsibilities:
a. Drive cross data centre application migration ( Lift and shift) of various types of applications
b. Responsible for formulating application migration strategy and detailed approach considering several factors including application impact , dependencies , risk , priorities , domain etc.
c. Responsible for identifying typical application configuration change requirements for a cross data centre lift and shift migration and guiding developers to implement the same.
d. Assist project manager in identifying and remediating technical risks and appropriate planning of the application migration.
Skill sets and experience
a. 8-10 years of bespoke application ( .NET and Java ) development , support , administration , upgrades and migration.
b. Awareness ( from application perspective) with typical application data centre/infrastructure resource dependencies like Authentication , AD, File systems , DNS , fire walls etc.
c. Experience in leading /participating in midscale application migrations. ( Nice to have)
d. Good communication ,negotiation skills and ability to deal with ambiguity .
