Description: JOB TITLE: APIGEE developer and Platform Admin
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for designing, implementing, and providing support for APIGEE platform and applications and IT products required to enable Cardinal’s business objectives
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requires in depth knowledge of organization stated technology standards, procedures and methods
Requires experience with multiple development methodologies
Translates and interprets functional requirements documentation for medium projects
Develops solutions for the organization’s core application systems and supports interfacing systems
Assists in system/application integrations
Performs application development utilizing in depth knowledge of structure, features and programming language
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education or Equivalent: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, MIS, CIS or equivalent work related experience required
APIGEE and API Management requirements:
Job Requirements:
Design and developed API specifications using OpenAPI Specifications/YAML
Experience with Apigee Cloud and Apigee as OAuth provider
Experience API Management, APIGEE enablement for newly onboarded customers
Experience developing API proxies using APIGE Edge
Experience implementing API Security policies
Develop coding standards, methodology and repeatable process
Facilitate development and communication of solutions to technical and business stakeholders
Identify technical dependencies and roadblocks proactively and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues Experience building and delivering Proofs of Concept (PoCs) independently and effectively
Experience implementing API Security policies
Participating in peer code review process to keep code quality high and automate quality checks using Sonar Collaborating with API engineers and backend engineers to improve the quality of our APIs and assist in establishing best practices / processes across our products.
Working knowledge of Drupal
Build and maintain developer portal
Experience with DevOps enablement using Concourse, Jenkins, and other tools
Familiarity with public cloud environments like GCP, AWS Experience with Pivot Cloud Foundry Proven Experience in a Senior API developer role and delivered multiple API engagements leveraging Apigee API Edge gateway Drive and foster innovation with toolset to increase team productivity, and deliver faster.
Skills Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
Proven Experience in a Senior API developer role and delivered multiple API engagements leveraging Apigee API Edge gateway
Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry is a plus 3+ Years’ experience with Continuous Integration Tools like Jenkins
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in an aggressive schedule environment
Able to work effectively under pressure, independently, and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgment in decision making
