Administrative Assistant II

Greets and assists people in person and/or over the telephone. Duties may include directing phone calls to appropriate person or area, assisting and directing visitors to the department, maintaining appointment calendar, and scheduling conference rooms
Performs a variety of clerical responsibilities including typing or word processing of correspondence and memos
Manages department/section appointment calendar
Accesses and maintains computerized files and performs database maintenance
Works under close supervision but generally requires some independent judgement
Minimum Education:High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience:Two (2) years of administrative support experience required. Experience must involve e-mail, word processing and typing correspondence, data entry and filing.
