Job Description :
The Active Directory Engineer will work as a Level 2/3 resource on the AD Support team in North America. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Day-to-day Incident and Problem management of a multi-forest AD environment
Managing multiple domains and forests
Acting as an internal consultant to IT teams for Active Directory related solutions
Creation and maintenance of AD environment management documentation on as as-necessary basis
Assist Engineers with Incident and Problem management
Providing AD solutions that meet both security and operational objectives
Work with end-users to resolve Incidents
Internal subject matter expert in directory related technology and architecture
Engage with other Infrastructure groups as necessary to support the AD environment
Serve as an as-needed project resource
Complete assigned project deliverables on time
Attend regular project/team meetings
Assist with testing and go-live support for assigned projects
Position will serve in an on-call rotation, and may require occasional evening or weekend hours.
Proposes new projects. Participates in project framing, advocating appropriate flexible strategic architectures be included in project scope in alignment with business drivers
Participate in the definition, establishment, documentation, implementation and maintenance of Active Directory policies, standards, methods and procedures
Collaborate with internal and external partners and providers to drive architectural plans to completion, via completion of the appropriate conceptual and detailed design documents according to the SDLC
Technical Requirements
10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 of those years in Active Directory support
Proven understanding of Active Directory sites and services, certification preferred
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Server Networking
Strong understanding of networking principles
Experience with system administration for a large scale Active Directory infrastructure
Knowledge and troubleshooting skills for Group Policy on local workstations and servers
Creation of Domain Controllers (2008 R2 core, GUI and RODC)
Understanding and troubleshooting of LDAP in applications
Knowledge of secure LDAP (LDS)
Troubleshooting replication topology issues
Understanding of DHCP and WINS
Automation / scripting experience required
Strong understanding of ITIL model, certification preferred

Education
Bachelor''s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline or comparable experience
