POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership to the TechOps department in furthering the evolution of the infrastructure as they apply to Production Application and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity infrastructure(s) in support of major projects and day to day infrastructure support alike.



The Senior Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of Windows Systems and is required to have expert knowledge and understanding of Active Directory.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Own medium to large related projects throughout the planning, design, implementation and operational process within a dynamic AD infrastructure, as well as create and maintain appropriate documentation infrastructure, standards and projects.
Be primarily responsible and accountable for the 24/7 run time environment including health monitoring, production change management and over all uptime of the infrastructure components of the production operation working closely with the Technical Operations technology engineering team, Application Support and Development to ensure the ongoing health, capacity planning and scalability of the production operating environment
Act in a secondary capacity to other IT/Technical Operations engineers responsible for QA, Development and Internal IT infrastructure and critical projects across multiple data center locations
Troubleshoot system issues with the IT-Operations team in support of day to day operations as required. Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
Participate in the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of infrastructure policies and procedures
Participate in systems architecture design and implementation as needed or required
Identifying high priority issues and having the ability to respond with a standardized escalation process
Adhere to strict change control procedures
Participate in the on-call rotation.
