Required Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of total AS400 experience.
- 4+ years of experience in RPG ILE, DB2.
- 2+ years of Lead experience would be better.
- Strong Analytical skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Capable of working independently and able to manage small projects with minimum supervision.
- Experience in working with both offshore and onshore teams.
- Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and flexibility.
- Previous banking experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with LOB/Analyst/QA teams to develop good quality code and investigate all potential product failures.
- Defines project objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
- Designs and develops user interfaces to various systems by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle.
- Determining design methodologies and tool sets.
- Completing programming using languages and software products.
- Designing and conducting tests.
- Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
- Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team.
- Troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
- Updates job knowledge by researching new technologies and software products.
- Supports and develops web application developers by knowledge/expertise sharing.
- Provide analytical support for critical corporate initiatives including business function support for system migrations and consolidations, significant business area process improvement projects and complex product installations.
- Responsible for consulting with business areas and project managers for development of implementation strategies.
- Practice knowledge transfer and foster change management to support organizational changes.
