Cloud Automation Engineer - REMOTE
We are seeking individuals with a passion for building next generation automation. Our organization creates seamless CI/CD code deployment and cloud automation systems to deliver touchless code validation and deployment state management systems. You will be joining a team of passionate and highly capable technology experts and will report to technically capable and globally recognized industry leaders. Team members must present industry expertise and the ability to manage their own work loads. Daily work deliverables will be completed from your home office. Occasional travel for client introductions and deliverable presentations both nationally and internationally may be required.
Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents and be able to pass a security clearance on client request. Current passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS
Initiate and lead scripting and automation efforts to automate DevOps code deployments.
Responsible for maximizing system uptime and availability, ensuring functional and performance SLAs.
Responsible for establishing end-to-end monitoring and alerting for various systems.
Creation of playbooks to run when responding to alerts or incidents.
Prior experience with CI/CD deployment automation systems.
Working knowledge of Visual Studio, Visual Code, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure DevOps/Team Foundation Server.
Work with cloud operations team to resolve frequent trouble tickets through developing scripts in an Azure cloud hosted environment.
Work well independently without requiring routine supervision.
Prior experience with technology consulting is a plus.
Required Skills:
4+ years of experience in a DevOps team with working knowledge of Azure Cloud or Azure Gov Cloud, certifications in Azure is a plus.
2+ years of experience with software defined networks, application gateways, and load balancing configuration and automation in Azure.
Functional understanding of supporting and troubleshooting application level systems.
Ability to diagnose communications and performance issue in a multi-tiered cloud architecture.
Working familiarity with compliance control standards such as PCI/DSS, FIPS, or NIST; knowledge of GDPR is a plus.
Demonstrated technical expertise in the following areas:
Windows Server Deployment Automation.
SQL Server 2016 always on deployment and synchronization scripting preferred.
PowerShell, JSON, Python or other scripting languages.
Ability to use MS Office Tools specifically MS Excel, Word, and Visio to make technical documentation.
