Oracle PL/SQL Developer,

Description:

    Lead the implementation of enhancements and fixes to existing software systems using Java, Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL. 
    Analyze and tune the performance of database applications. 
    Respond to production issues by analyzing scope and root cause 
    Present technical concepts and proposals to a wide variety of global audiences including development teams, business partners and senior management including database server sizing and cost estimates.

    Read and map complex DDL (views, tables, etc) 
    Read, write and test complex DML (insert, update, delete) 
    Read, write and test SQL*Plus scripts 
    Ability to direct the construction of packages, procedures, triggers and PL/SQL blocks in Oracle
o    Knowledge of database architecture and best practices for Oracle SQL and PL/SQL coding style and application tuning 
o    Prepare system design documents, use cases, test cases and other systems documentation 
o    Implement solutions that are reliable, scalable, and perform at a high level to meet the service levels associated with mission critical Oracle based solutions 
o    Communicate clearly both verbally and through documentation 
o    Maintain a current awareness of technological developments and trends as it relates to databases, development methodologies and tools 
o    Conduct research on emerging database / app development software products, languages, and standards in support of design and development efforts 

Qualifications & Required Skills: 
    4 - 7 years of PL/SQL development 
    4 - 7 years writing packages, procedures, functions and triggers 
    5+ years writing using SQL 
    4+ years creating tables with constraints that are indexed 
    4+ years experience with Java, Linux / UNIX, XML / XSLT, scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc) 
    3+ years experience in performance tuning, application monitoring and support of production applications 
    Capable of understanding and writing ANSI and traditional Oracle inner and outer joins 
    Capable of working with and writing nested queries and subqueries 
    Moderate knowledge of data modeling 
    Excellent documentation experience using appropriate tools 
    Excellent written, verbal, organizational and presentational skills 
    Excellent analytical ability and judgment 
    Excellent time management skills 
    Require minimal supervision 
    Beneficial Skills: 
    Moderate knowledge of database administration including the manipulation of system tables 
    Experience with TOAD or SQL Developer 
    Experience with ERWIN, Visio or other data modeling tools 
    Oracle certified professional 
    Understand the impact of technical decisions at a team and department level. 
    Technology leadership experience. 
    Proven collaborative problem-solving capabilities. 
    Ability to perform deployment and versioning of Oracle packages and objects 

Education and Experience: 
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Computer science degree preferred. 
    7+ years of related experience.
