Job Title: Data Engineer Client: Tek Systems Project Location: Austin, TX Project Duration: 12 Months Position Type: W2 Top Skills Details 4+ years of data engineer experience with large data lake platforms, ideally google or hadoop. Familiarity with cloud, specifically GCP. Experience utilizing tools like Spark and understand how to move data, build code-based data pipelines, data transformation, etc. Development experience with Python and/or Go-lang Plus: Hotspots and composure experience- how to break queries out-Saves time, performance and money. Description: We are looking for intermediate to senior. Typically about 4+ years of data engineering experience. Experience with very large (multi-petabyte size) data lakes. Experience with code-based pipelines (ex Spark Typically this means they will have some exposure to Java, Scala, and/or Python. Also some experience with Unix (Shell, Scripting) is very helpful. Operational Experience managing a large data lake (has had to care for, handle, etc. Development experience with building APIs ex: REST, etcPython and/or Go-Lang Some experience with managing data in the Cloud preference towards GCP.
