Description:
Assist with data stewardship, governance, and decision making for the management of enterprise data for project development teams, business users and other stakeholders.
Design technical solution for the management, storage, access, navigation, movement, and transformation of data.
May develop standards, process flows and tools that promote and facilitate the mapping of data sources, documenting interfaces and data movement across the enterprise.
Produce or enhance metadata to ensure an integrated definition of data for enterprise information, and to ensure the accuracy, validity, reusability, and consistent definitions for common reference
data.
Elicit business and technical requirements and translate them into conceptual, logical and physical data models.
Provide architectural solutions covering data structures, sourcing, integration, security, and retention.
Consult with or advise DBA’s.
What Experience Should You Have?
BS in Computer Science or related field; MS is a plus
10 years of experience in software development and database applications with a majority of this experience in data strategy, sourcing, modeling, integration, and architecture (3-5 years as Data Modeler/Architect)
At least 2 years of Healthcare (Claims, Payer, Pharmacy PBM, Payer Provider)
Technical Skills Required:
o Experience in data analysis, data profiling, data integration, and data quality.
o Data modeling experience creating logical, physical, dimensional and relational 3NF models; ERwin experience is preferred.
o Experience designing and using data warehouses, data marts, and operational system databases.
o Knowledge of SQL, database performance, RDBMS, and Query tools. Database tuning is a plus.
o Prior experience in ETL, reporting and analytics, and business intelligence tools is preferred
o Prior experience in health care domain is preferred.
o CDMP (certified data management professional) or CBIP (certified business intelligence professional) is nice to have.

o Evaluate, analyze, design and implement solutions based on technical requirements.
o Identify solutions to complex problems and business processes using tools and technologies to improve efficiency through automation, re-use, design patterns, and best practices
o Communicate to a variety of audiences in both verbal and written form

o Deal effectively in a team environment, provide recommendations to senior management, and collaborate beyond the immediate project team to meet the needs of business.
