Title: Application Engineer/Java Developer (entellitrak developer)
LOCATION: Washington, DC (onsite work only, no remote or flex)
DURATION: 6 months, plus expected extension
CLEARANCE NEEDED: US Citizenship … once selected, will go through Public Trust security process

Description:
Primary responsibility is the analysis of functional requirements, and development of applications utilizing client’s proprietary platforms and technologies. Application Engineer (AE) will work closely with the Project Manager and/or Business Analyst to interpret business requirements, effectively develops the application according to requirements, and delivers high quality results. A solid understanding of the entellitrak platform, Java, JavaScript and SQL are necessary. AE must also maintain a functional understanding of database architecture and be able to write reports using the iReport toolkit, write custom JSP pages, and provide technical oversight when deploying applications to customer-facing environments. AE must be able to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly, answer technical questions from customers, and be able provide efficient technical solutions to problems. AE is responsible for writing technical documenting as directed by client''s standards and methodology.
DUTIES:
Provides application design and documentation
Prioritizes own work regarding the development, coding, testing, and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software
Implements fixes to existing code/system to comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements
Works with technical staff and business to understand problems with software and assist to resolve them
SKILLS:
MUST HAVE SKILL: demonstrated entellitrak development experience (no exceptions made)
Consistently applies fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
Applied in-depth knowledge of Java, JavaScript, testing
Substantive knowledge of coding, testing and debugging.
Proven ability to apply programming languages to develop solutions to business needs.
Competent to work in all phases of applications programming and design.
