A well-qualified candidate will be capable of being responsible for the design, development, and support of DevOps projects requiring a high to very high degree of technical complexity and effort. Additionally, the candidate will be able to provide technical project leadership for assigned projects with little to no guidance.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrates a high level of working knowledge with IS methodologies and processes (i.e. Project Life Cycle, System Development Life Cycle and IS Change Management process
Participates and contributes to the design and implementation of DevOps tools and processes to support the current and future Information Systems strategy.
Train other IS team members on DevOps processes and tools.
Participate in discussions with IS leadership on the strategy and direction of DevOps.
Assist in the designing of a company-wide DevOps process.
Analyzes and supports the project team with business requirements, all feasible technical and system processes, and commercial alternatives to meet the business needs.
Collects, documents, analyzes, verifies, communicates, and tests DevOps solutions and processes.
Supports and advises other Development and Operations team members with these same tasks.
Capable of delivering results in all components of the Systems Development Life Cycle for medium-large projects as an individual developer and/or analyst and as a team member for large-complex projects.
Demonstrate excellent technical and/or analytical abilities with little to no supervision in a self-directed manner and ensures that solutions fit within the overall IS Systems Architecture/Vision.
Participate as an effective technical and/or analytical advisor as demonstrated by the ability to mentor others; design and develop effective business solutions; and lead project teams so that all project tasks are completed as assigned.
Continually enhances knowledge and awareness of Industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen the project
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field is preferred.
Experience:
A candidate should have a minimum of 3 years progressive experience in the Information Technology environment, preferably in the Healthcare industry.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
General:
Healthcare experience preferred.
High level of technical knowledge of business applications, advanced technology, development, testing methodologies, programming languages, databases, and operating systems related to the area being supported.
Agile/Scrum/DevOps experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Skills/Development Tools:
Public cloud experience – Azure/AWS
BitBucket and TeamCity build services coupled with OctoDeploy
PowerShell, Python, Ansible preferred or other automation scripting language
Build and Release server deployments and configuration
Microsoft Visual Studio (2005/2008/2010/2013/2017)
Microsoft SQL Server (2000/2005/2008/2012/2014)
Microsoft IIS (6.0, 7.0, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 10)
Microsoft C#, Microsoft T-SQL
Preferred but not required:
Terraform, Puppet, Chef Docker and Kubernetes
Operations Experience (Windows Server Admin, Network Admin, etc
Microsoft SharePoint (2007+)
