Does solving problems at scale excite you? As a Senior Systems Engineer you will support multiple projects involving Red Hat Linux, Windows, VMware, and SAN/NAS storage. The right candidate has strong knowledge of server administration, configuration, networking, scripting and automation, as well as experience in large scale distributed computing, hardware/operating system/application debugging, and security. Strong communication and documentation skills are required as you''ll work on multiple different initiatives simultaneously.
As a Senior Systems Engineer you will:
Coordinate system deployments and support integration of multiple newly acquired companies into CME datacenters and technology
Assist with the execution of a large scale NAS filer global upgrade
Build and manage dozens of new VMware clusters
Deploy thousands of physical and virtual Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows servers
Troubleshoot network connectivity and application migration issues
Coordinate and execute Red Hat and Windows server OS upgrades
Execute production-impacting changes during non-business hours
Preferred Qualifications include:
Red Hat Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMware ESX
Chef, Ansible, python, perl, and shell/powershell scripting
HP, Dell, and Lenovo servers (NUMA, PCI routing, OOB management, etc
PXE, razor, cobbler, and/or other provisioning systems
SAN and NAS enterprise storage (NetApp, EMC, Tintri, Nutanix, and Pure Storage)
IP-based network troubleshooting
Bachelor''s degree
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience
