Job Description :
Client is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their team. This team is in charge of application delivery architecture and design. You will be working closely with three other engineers within this team, in addition to a network application team designated to test and validation, and an architecture team. This group specifically focuses on network connectivity within the local data center. You will be meeting with application owners and operations to gather requirements, convert those into documentation, then design and implement with the engineering team. You will have team meetings with the architecture team to decide what the network will look like and best fit the lab devices. Within this role you will also be working in the lab to test and configure devices.
Must-Have:
- Strong load balancing experience (A10 or F5)
- Strong firewall experience (Juniper SRX or Palo Alto)
- Strong BGP experience - configuring and troubleshooting
- Cisco routing/switching experience
Plusses:
- Multicast - they have someone on the team who focuses on multicast, but Mike said it would be great to have someone join the team who also has this
- DNS - was initially a must-have, but not necessary anymore
