?             Work as part of a distributed team to provide operational support for an enterprise storage environment

?             Configuration and allocation of storage for production and corporate systems.

?             Monitor the SAN & Storage alerts regularly across the environment for warnings/critical alarms and proactively take steps to prevent potential issues from occurring.

?             Extensively work on SAN related host connectivity for various operating systems including AIX, Linux, and Windows.

?             Identify and troubleshoot issues with switch hardware which caused significant credit loss events to multiple hosts causing host aborts, work effectively with vendor to take action and resolve the issue.

?             Troubleshoot day to day performance issues and resolve them using Performance Manager. Comparing the port utilization, IOs and read/writes to the disks using performance manager and analyzing the data for trouble shooting performance issues.

?             Providing storage forecasts based on usage and trends





Storage Admin



Responsible for the operational maintenance of the enterprise storage\san environment ensuring integrity of versions, functions, and performance.  Design and implement integrated service management solutions to support business goals.



Essential Functions:

?             Work as part of a distributed team to provide operational support for an enterprise storage environment

?             Configuration and allocation of storage for production and corporate systems.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree required

?             Will consider relevant job-related CenterPoint Energy experience for non-degree candidates

Experience:

2 years of relevant work experience required.

Physical Requirements
