Job Title: Java Developer with Elasticsearch
Length: 6 month plus contract
Location: Chandler, AZ
In-person interview is required and the candidate can interview in Arizona or in Boston, MA.
Currently, one of our premier client’s is seeking a Senior Java Developer with Elasticsearch experience for an initial 6 month contracting position. Contract is likely to extend provided the consultant exceeds our client’s expectations.
Responsibilities:
Work with engineering, data team, QA and stakeholders to architect, design, and develop solutions using the ELK (elasticsearch, logstash and kibana) stack; and deliver a full implementation of Elasticsearch.
Utilize Elastic Stack in a production scale implementation, perform data related benchmarking, performance analysis and tuning.
Create indexes and analytics on elasticsearch data.
Using SQL, create complex queries with joins and aggregate that deals with large amount of data.
Develop and maintain a customer-focused relationship with business stakeholders and other IT areas by exhibiting a high level of collaboration, timely communication and responsiveness.
Required Skills:
8 or more years of experience in Java application development; including 2 years (or 2 recent projects) of strong hands on knowledge with full implementation of Elasticsearch.
Strong experience in ELK (elasticsearch, logstash and kibana) stack.
Strong experience in SQL (Oracle) and writing complex queries with joins and aggregates.
Strong experience in building JSP/Servlet based GUIs with JQuery or other JavaScript libraries for dashboard views over reporting databases.
Experience in Core Java and J2EE technologies like, JMS, JSP, Servlets, Struts/Spring, XML, XSD, XSLT, and XPATH, Spring boot; Apache, Confluent, Kafka, Spark.
Experience with Front end UI technologies JSP, AngularJs, JQuery, HTML5 / CSS, JavaScript, and React.
Ability to perform data related benchmarking, performance analysis and tuning
Strong skills in In-memory applications, Database Design, Data Integration.
Experience in cloud environment.
Excellent relationship building and communication skills; ability to interact and work effectively with all levels of personnel from senior executive management to high level technical resources and business stakeholders.
Ability to work well as a team member within fast-paced environment, deployment cycles, and tight deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
