Title-Software Engineer
Location- Basking Ridge NJ
What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment
Development and Support of Claims Highway Application. Claims Highway is a critical platform for claims processing.
Identify, analyze and resolve routine and complex system issues
Work on changes for production issues and implement the same

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)
? Identify, analyze and resolve routine and complex system issues for current production
applications
? Responsibility, at a high level, includes application availability, reliability and stability
? Provide 24x7 on call support
? Ensure timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding SLAs
? Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective
action plan
? Work on break-fixes for production issues and implement the same
? Assist in providing management status reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis
? Assist as a liaison between offshore resources and business/ onsite IT management
? Identify application performance improvement initiatives and implement the same in
consultation with Service Manager
? Work on process improvement initiatives
What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities
IBM Mainframe, COBOL, JAVA, WebServices, Kafka, MQ, CICS, Distributed environments, JCL, TWS, CICS, FILE-AID, DB2 with high SQL skills, any JAVA IDE like Eclipse, JBOSS.
What skills/attributes are a must have
8+ years of experience with IBM Mainframe, JAVA, Web services, MQ, COBOL, JCL, TSO, VSAM, TWS or equivalent Job scheduling tool
8+ years of experience with CICS, MQ
8+ years of experience with DB2 with high SQL skills
6+ years of experience performing data analysis, data profiling, debugging, and SQL tuning
2+ Years of JAVA, JAVA IDE, Any Distributed Database
What skills/attributes are nice to have
Kafka
Big Data platforms
NOSQL DBs like Mongo, Cassandra
MQ Experience
Net or Datastage experience
Performance tuning
