Role: Power BI Developer and Power BI Lead
Location: Dayton, OH
Type of Engagement: 3-6 + months plus extension
Mode of interview: phone/ skype
Visa: /GC/USC
Nature of Work:
Supporting BI Development (PowerBI) and reporting needs in the Marketing and Analytics space
Top Skillsets:
Strong SQl, SSIS, SSRS and Strong PowerBI
This is a possible contract-to-hire position.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in BI development and/or equivalent web development experience required
Healthcare experience is preferred
Proven ability to program in 3rd and 4th generation languages
Web application programming technologies such as JAVA, JSP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, VBScript, and .net
MicroStrategy programming experience preferred
SAS programming experience preferred
Relational database modeling concepts and SQL
Data visualization concepts and techniques
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Communication skills both written and verbal
Knowledge of managed health care preferred
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Role and Responsibility:
Develop unique and innovative enterprise wide, graphics based, business intelligence solutions that deliver actionable information to the business with a high degree of impact
Utilize the business intelligence enterprise system software development suite to create, maintain and publish reports, dashboards, scorecards, and other visual information displays through front end interfaces as well as through application and database programming
Analyze and troubleshoot system, application, and user issues resulting from the use and/or release of functionality
Develop, and implement information delivery solutions for the purpose of providing business intelligence
Develop functionality that graphically represents data in a manner that is user friendly, fully automatable, and supportable
Assist in the design of Business Intelligence products for both internal and external use
Participate in testing activities as needed
Responsible for adhering to proper coding, testing, and documentation standards as well as IT change control processes and procedures
Incorporate critical thinking skills and judgment in the analysis process to determine the best course of action for each inquiry/problem
