JD: We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to play a vital role in developing the future-state of our distributed applications using Agile practices. This team provides core application development for internal facing systems. The platform in question will be a Service oriented and message driven based Architecture comprised of multiple independently deployable services. We are building our platform for cloud deployment, and have a strong focus on Domain driven and OO practices.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong Java development working on enterprise level applications, preferably in spring based systems;
Experienced with building framework for modern transactional and data processing applications;
Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals and OO principles, and API principles.
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment while meeting deliverables;
Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus;
Strong verbal and written communication - must be able to actively engage other team members;
Understanding of modern systems development utilizing techniques like CI/ CD and DevOps;
Knowledge and understanding of DB systems and SQL strongly desired.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor''s degree or higher; Investment/financial services industry experience is a major plus.
