Job Title : Windows Engineer (Hybrid, cloud environment)
Location : Pittsburgh, PA
Duration : 12 months contract
Role Scope / Deliverables :
* Systems Reliability Windows Engineers - responsible for administration and engineering within the on premise and Cloud environment.
* This resource will have to be able to think on their feet and be able to troubleshoot items as they happen without specific documentation.
* This resource will be required to maintain SLA's resolving tickets and issues along with implementation of new process and procedures and automation.
* This individual will be a team player that will be able to work with multiple technical skillsets merging ideas into reality.
* This resource will be required to drive ideas showing significant progress in a timely manner.
Key Skills:
* Support of hybrid, on premise and cloud environment.
* Proficient in Windows/VMware and Altiris Administration with the ability to support migrations/upgrades/patching along with implementation of new ideas and concepts.
* Analysis of systems, identify discrepancies and recommend best practice and implement throughout the environment.
* Troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure resolving issues permanently in the environment.
* Ability to drive standardization and implementation of process and procedures
* Know the benefits and use of Service Now with the ability to create a workflow, implement and provide documentation on processes.
* Work closely with application owners to ensure business needs are met along with ensuring tuning and optimization of their systems.
* Enforces standards, policies and operational practices around the deployment of system software and security patches.
* Ensures that all such standards are documented, available and used by the Operations staff.
* Review processes and verify that best practices are being followed throughout projects and operational tasks
* Work with migration teams as a liaison to fully evaluate ensure continuity throughout cloud transitions
* Deploy and support new solutions in AWS and other cloud providers
