Role: VMWare SME with Core VDI implementation Location: Montreal, QC Mode: Full Time 10+ years relevant experience in Core VDI implementation. Job requires in designing, implementing, & supporting VDI Infrastructure using VMware Horizon, ESX and other related components. Technical Skills Mandatory Technically able to understand and implement solutions as per design from Architect. Able to understand client requirement and articulate into solution using WAAS components. Has good experience on Windows 10 VDI deployment using different provisioning methods. Ability to install, configure, optimize and maintain VMware Horizon View environments Hands-on administrative experience with VMware Products including ESX, ESXi/vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, vROPS, VRA and DRS, DEM, vIDM, AppVolumes & VSAN, UEM, Appstack. Understanding of Workspace ONE (Mobility Management - legacy AirWatch (Unified Endpoint Management) Strong knowledge on Horizon Cloud (Azure and AWS) Strong knowledge on Windows Active Directory, User Profile Management and Group Policies Knowledge of thin/zero clients Understanding of VMware core components and their relation to storage and networking Knowledge on NSX (NSX-T, NSX-V including NSX for Desktop) Ability to document processes and procedures VMware certifications Ability to work in 24x7 support environment Good understanding of, group policy and Citrix policies. Understanding of Cloud Concepts and experience on cloud integration. Ability lead implementation, coordinate with customer and take care of steady state transition. Good understanding on project support. Create documentation and mentor team members. Technical Skills desired: Hands on experience of implementing VMware View based solution will be an added plus Provide Level 3 and Level 4 support for VMware Horizon environment running on 6.x and 7.x Providing support on app stacks and app volumes related issues Updating Base image to VDI image and Optimization Performance tuning Responsible for installing, configuring and administering complex VDI environment Maintaining AD, DNS, Certificate services and group policies Deploying new virtual servers, maintaining templates, and performing system updates Configuring ESXi and vCenter Monitoring resources, maintaining resource pools, user access rights, and application policies Diagnosing and troubleshooting end user resource and connection issues Determine root cause of complex issues involving both client and server issues Troubleshooting experiences on Desktop issues related to VDI, Application and User profile issues and performance issues. Other Requirements: Engineering degree is Desirable Able to multi-task and work productively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Excellent Customer Service Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills. Travel ready for short and medium term trips to implement the solution at different customer places & should be willing to relocate to an onsite location longer term of the Project demands so.
