Candidate in this role needs to have a minimum of 7+ years of VMware enterprise-level experience. VMware Certification (VCP) preferred.
Candidate must have experience in administering VMWare vSphere 6.x environments.
Candidate must have experience in administering VMWare Horizon View (VDI) 7.x environment.
Candidate with experience in administering VMware vCloud Director preferred.
The ideal candidate must have experience one or more scripting languages like VMware PowerCLI, Python, Terraform, etc.
Candidate with experience in administering VMware NSX and VMware vSAN preferred.
Candidate with experience in implementing and integrating hardware using “Rack Mount” servers and “blade infrastructure” using HPE One View and Dell OME tools preferred.
Experience in vRealize Automation and familiarity in using monitoring tools like vRealize Operations Manager, Turbonomics preferred.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, very strong analysis/troubleshooting skills, strong partnering/relationship-building skills, strong leadership skills.
Experience in administering Storage arrays like 3PAR, EMC, NetApp, Oracle ZFS and optimizing VMware for utilization of SAN storage preferred.
Experience in administering Virtual infrastructure at cloud providers like IBM Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud is a strong plus.
Unix Administration experience Linux is a strong plus.
