On behalf of our client, is currently looking for a Test Engineer in Denver, CO for a 6-month contract opportunity. Candidates will need to be able to go on-site in Denver, CO and must be open to relocate if not local.

 

Test Engineer Summary:

Our client's a global leader in open telecom solutions, is transforming the networking industry allowing clients to process more data more efficiently at a lower cost than ever before, and now we need your help as our demand grows. Our client is looking for a Sr. Test Engineer to be a member of a QA Team focused on testing LTE / 5G / O-RAN e/ gNodeBs.

 

Test Engineer Responsibilities:

• Review 3GPP standards, architectural and design documents to develop thorough and in-depth test plans for testing LTE / 5G / O-RAN System / Nodal functionalities.

• Guide testing plan on test scripts using available test tools.

• Guide and build test setups as per the requirements of the test case.

• Execute test cases and validate the test status based on the expectations for the test case.

• Analyze system logs, test tool logs and use this information for debugging issues and identifying accurate root causes for the problems seen on the system under test or in the network.

• Use test expertise to identify overall improvements and enhancements which are possible on the system.

• Debug field data and identifying potential problems and re-creating the same in the lab.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

Test Engineer Required Skills:

• Ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience

• Excellent understanding of LTE / 5G architecture, protocols, interfaces within depth details of message contents is mandatory

• Strong Knowledge on LTE/LTE-A / 5G / O-RAN, Virtual RAN Feature, performance, stability, KPI and Mobility

• Excellent understanding of LTE/5G PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, S1AP, X2AP, RRM, SON,EMS

• Excellent understanding and working experience of LTE/5G 3GPP Specifications, LTE /5G L2, RRC, S1AP, X2AP, OAM, RRM and NAS procedure is must

• Solid Working experience with tool like XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark. TM500, Network Emulator, Spectrum Analyzer, Air Monitor, Programmable Attenuators, Signal Generators etc is must

• Working experience of LTE /5G feature testing like Cell selection, re-selection, X2/S1 Handovers, RIC - Cases, MIMO, ETWS, CMAS, Carrier Aggregation, QoS, Bearer Management, Access Baring, RAC, RBC, DRX, OAM/EMS, RRM features

• Solid experience Test Execution and Logs Analysis, Raising, tracking and closer issues.

• Solid experience in analyzing logs and debugging issues for air interface, S1/X2, F1, E1, E2. O2 interface, multi-vendor Integration and inter-operability issues

• Experience in Requirement understanding, Test strategy design, Effort estimation and test report preparation

• Automation experience is added advantage

• Thorough understanding of 3GPP specs covering PHY, MAC, PDCP, RLC, RRC, S1AP and X2AP protocols and O-RAN Specs / Open RAN Specifications

• Hands on work experience of testing LTE / 5G / O-RAN e/gNodeBs/ Disaggregated RAN Solutions.

• Knowledge of message flows and parameters used in the messages for LTE / 5G procedures

• Understanding of 3GPP Release 14 and Release 15/ 16 features

• Familiarity with LTE / 5G Disaggregation / SON / SMO functionalities is desirable

• Familiarity in analyzing drive test data collected from field using tools like TEMS, XCAL Accuver etc.

• Familiarity with application layer optimizations; TCP traffic optimization, Video traffic optimization etc.

• Familiarity with scripting languages like Tcl, Python

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering

• Self-starter who likes debugging complex issues and takes pride in finding issues on the device under test

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Test Engineer Assignment Length : 6 Month Contract
